A Cycing Accident - Flashback

[Sarah and Oliver]
It was a fine Sunday afternoon. Tom and Jerry were strolling in the nearby park when they saw marks on one of the trees. Seeing the marks on the tree triggered off something in their mind and a memory started to unfold, like a film they had never seen before...
....
"Hey! Watch out!" Jerry shouted. Tom had almost tripped over a stone. Tom snapped out of this thoughts as he walked past the tree in the park, unscathed this time.

I felt the pain between my shoulder blades again. Still there! How I wish it would go away. The wounds have long since healed but the pain is still there. It kept reminding me of an accident which happened to me five years ago.
....
The tingling pain in my shoulders never went away. The pain would escalate on rainy days. As I gave my shoulders a gentle massage, tears rolled down my cheeks.

Tom was strolling down the street after he was done with all his homework. Suddenly the ringing of a bell cracked the silence. He turned around and saw a bicycle speeding his way. Tom quickly moved away from the bicycle. On seeing how fast the bicycle went, it triggered off something in his mind and a memory started to unfold...
...
A gust of wind greeted Tom. It brought him back to the present time. He realised that the bicycle was long gone and he continued with his stroll.

It was a beautiful Sunday morning. The morning sun was beating on the ground. Fluffy magnolia white clouds waltzed across the clear blue sky as the gentle breeze blew. Jimmy was having his breakfast in the kitchen when he noticed the broken bicycle placed outside his house. Upon seeing this, waves of emotions came flooding into his mind as he recalled the unfortunate incident that unfortunate day...
...
Suddenly the phone rang. Jimmy snapped back to reality and rushed to the phone to answer the call. He smiled sheepishly to himself, thankful to be alive.

Whenever Tom hears the familiar sound of bicycles' bells ringing, he would reember the incident that had happened between him and his friend, John, a few years ago. A wave of emotions would sweep over him and his mind would race back to the time the incident occurred.
...
Just then, a bicycle whizzed past Tom. He snapped back to reality and continued his walk to the supermarket. He is still shaken by what had happened and his close shave with death. Once bitten, twice shy. Since that day, Tom made a silent vow never to cycle down a steep slope again.
